I first heard about this project from a fellow photographers Stephanie Adele and Katie Cassin. Originally, I was planning on helping out by being in front of the camera. But at the time my day job as an essential worker made scheduling it difficult, I decided to hit the pavement in my home town.

My twist was based on my walks I would take when I would go down to Virginia to visit family. I would walk, talk to folks, and take photos. Not everyone is able to sit at their front step or willing to. Many in my hometown sit at the side of the road or on their front lawn with a beer in hand while kids played. I wanted to capture that. I will continue to do this series however I can and as safely as I can. These photos will not be for sale, however I ask that you donate to a reputable charity or organization (ex. Corona Courier’s) to help with relief.

For more information on The Front Steps Project, their website is here.

More photos will be added as I continue.
